Exciting news from the Conrads

A year ago on my birthday I decided not to go back to work after I had Benjamin. It was a leap of faith for our family in more ways than one. We would become a one income family, and I was afraid of what the time off would do to my career, but at the same time we knew that it was the right thing to do for our son and for ourselves.

This year I didn't just stay home with Ben, but I also decided to do the things that I always wanted to do and never had: run a half-marathon, join a writing retreat, make new friends, meet young entrepreneurs, and freelance. All along God provided for us not just financially, but he grew our faith, gave us direction, and connected us to the people we needed to meet to be where we are today.

If you thought that this would be the post where we announced that we are having another baby, you are correct. It's just not the kind of baby you are thinking about. You see, Tim and I had been toying with the idea of owning our own business for a while, but it wasn't until I took a year off that everything came together for us to make it a reality, and exactly a year later on my birthday last week, we celebrated the arrival of our new baby: {{Conrad Architecture and Design}}.  It's true you guys, we have finally done it, and we are open for business! You can visit our {{web page}} or meet us in person to get our brand spanking new business cards (designed by the talented Brenda Lester of {{Hatcher Press}}) to pass on to your friends.

And just because I know you will ask, I am also going back to work at K&W Interiors, because I miss them and they are awesome. So yes, we are in for a busy time, but this has been a long time coming and we are ready for greatness! Godspeed, full steam ahead. See you on the design side!

If you desire greatness you must have 3 things: the first is vision - You must be able to clearly visualize the reality you want to live in. Second, you must be insane because no sane person would ever be willing to endure the sacrifices that are required for greatness. Lastly, you must believe - believe that your ideas have the power to make it happen in the face of conventional wisdom - Anonymous
