My dad emailed a few pictures he took when he came to meet his grandson SIX months ago! I cannot get over how much smaller Ben was, all his clothes were huge on him. We had to put his socks over his pants to keep them up.
As much as I love living in Alaska, I wish I lived closer to my parents every day. I miss them, and I'm afraid that Skype only takes us so far. It's super nice being able to 'see' them often, but the fact that they can't hug Ben or enjoy his baby smell, kills me.
I have been fortunate enough to go home yearly or biannually but having babies is expensive, you guys, and living on one income these days means international travel is not a priority. But you know what? My parents also miss that baby smell and can't wait to hug us any longer, and they are totally bringing the three of us home!!!!
We will leave after the holidays and I can't contain my excitement! But, OMG, flying with a baby! Hold me.
So this is the part where you say 'there there, it's going to be okay' and tell me ALL your tips on flying with kids, from what to do, to what to pack, to everything in between, keeping in mind that this whole endeavor will last around 23 hours. ***Hiperventilates***
A huge public thank you to my parents, you are the best abuelos Benjamin could ask for.
So tips in 3, 2, 1, GO!
P.S. If you are not reading this on a feed reader, you probably noticed the name change and facelift around here. Exciting things are ahead. Stay tuned.
